Challenge

Sub-contractor to the offshore industry developed a special new equipment to the offshore industry and it had several advantages but the polyurethane could not stand the extreme environment and forces. After test with several materias and toll-manufacturers, PU Consulting AB got the chance to see if we could find various solutions.

Task

After discussion, we decided to take the project to our laboratories to have control of the material development, modify the equipment and mould design.

Result

As the mechanical properties and life-time on the final application was increased several times, we had to work with the toll-manufacturer who could accept to work with the new material and technique. Today, it is working well with increased productivity and controlled maintenance.
